• Jobs for Rock County

  I have spent a lifetime representing working people.  A vibrant economy with good paying jobs is vital to the success and survival of our communities.  Working to bring jobs to our area is my number one priority.

  I will be adding more of my thoughts and positions regarding healthcare as the campaign progresses. 

• Healthcare

   A great deal has recently been done nationally on the issue of healthcare and we will need to make sure that Wisconsin residence are well served by these changes.  I am prepared to be a strong advocate to safeguard Wisconsin retirees, families, and workers.

  I will be adding more of my thoughts and positions regarding healthcare as the campaign progresses. 

• Education

  The people of the Beloit area have always invested in educational excellence and opportunity.  My children attended our area schools.  The opportunities and success that they have experienced are a testament to the educational system and staff that we have.

  Wisconsin communities are increasingly struggling with the current school funding formula and the children today face the possibility of being the first generation that has fewer educational opportunities than previous generations.  Fixing this will take hard work and difficult decisions.  

  I will be adding more of my thoughts and positions regarding education funding and continuing education as the campaign progresses.

• Conservation - Environment

  As an outdoor enthusiast, I greatly value a healthy environment and wilderness recreational opportunities.  A strong portion of the substantial tourism industry is directly tied into how well we safeguard our natural resources and wild areas.

  We must balance safeguarding our wild areas with smart investments in infrastructure and thoughtful growth.

  I will be adding more of my thoughts and positions regarding conservation and our environment as the campaign progresses.

  As I walk from doorstep to doorstep through Beloit , parts of Janesville and the surrounding communities, I am listening to your issues, concerns, and thoughts.  The energy and ideas of the people like yourself are important to me.  Please take a moment and let me know what you think about the issues that are a concern to you.
